Elsbeth & Christopher's Wedding Album

This month I’m featuring a beautiful traditional style wedding album that was a perfect complement to E&C’s English Country wedding. They opted for a 10×10 inch Dreambooks album with 20 double page spreads and a natural Buckram cover in Ivory. The additional touches of UV printing text in an elegant script font and a navy blue ribbon (to match the groom’s outfit) finished off the album perfectly. The design was in my clean and elegant Fresh style.

Some of my favourite spreads from the album:

THE INTRO SPREAD

This image was the perfect introduction to the album, it filled the spread nicely alongside the contrast of the white space and text which was kept nice, clean and simple.

GETTING READY

This spread perfectly captures the bride’s transformation in a before, during and after format! The six images on the left are a great complement to each other and create a contrast between the action shots of the bride having her hair and make up done, to static shots of the various attire and flowers. On the right hand side, I used a fair bit of white space on the page to frame the posed shots of the bride all ready with her bridesmaids.

THE NEWLYWEDS

There were several shots featured in this spread, all focusing on the bride and groom so I wanted to break them up a little to create focus on each photo and the mix of colour and b&w achieved this perfectly.

CONFETTI SHOTS

Most of the other wedding album spreads featured several photos and the use of surrounding white space but these two photos just needed no additional distractions and were the perfect combination to feature in a full bleed spread.

ALL THE LADIES

Such fun shots of the bride and bridesmaids which I balanced out on either side to create a symmetrical look – just the four photos so they didn’t get lost on the spread.

A LITTLE WALK

Part of E&C’s wedding day plan was a walk from the church to their reception venue through the village and fields..I love the simple yet effective flow of these photos across the page creating a landscape format and the use of different sizes breaks up the images creating focus.

TIME TO PARTY

There’s usually lots of action and things going on – lots of little captured moments – during the evening party, so using several varied images on the one album spread helps create that feeling of a busy and lively party with lots to see.
