An exclusive Cornish manor house wedding album

Clare & Steve’s summer wedding took place at a beautiful exclusive use manor house estate in Cornwall. with their wedding album perfectly capturing the overall style,  theme and decor with finishing touches that provided a contemporary twist to a neutral album. The Dreambooks 15×10 inch landscape album featured a white micro leather cover with UV printing in a bold bright purple. It was elegantly paired with a matching clamshell box with micro leather outer and a natural oak wood rim.

We went with ‘Stylish’  with a splash of ‘Fresh’ design for the wedding album layout; showcasing some photos whilst using others as focus backgrounds. There were 25 double-page spreads to play with and it was a relatively intimate wedding, so a fair amount of focus was  concentrated on showcasing the ceremony and family photos.

THE WEDDING ALBUM COVER TEXT

Using a shade of purple similar to their wedding theme colour and a font matching their wedding stationery, their cover printing was in bold contrast to the stark white of the micro leather material. Clare was keen to include her favourite  – and choice of wedding flower –  the purple Cala Lilly alongside the text which created a stunning and personal introduction to their wedding album.

WEDDING ALBUM SPREAD - BRIDAL PREPARATION

This spread was all about the bride and a glimpse into her morning pre-wedding prep! She just looks so happy and excited in these images, it was important to let that shine through. The stunning image of her Jimmy Choo wedding shoes was the perfect backdrop to the rest of the photos without adding too much distraction.

WEDDING ALBUM SPREAD - GROOM GETTING READY

When there’s a focus on the bride we have to balance it out to include the Groom too! This album spread does just that in a similar style to the Bride’s. Two simple close up images of the groom’s attire were bookended and blended into the white space which nicely framed the five focus images in the middle which focused on the Groom’s beautiful written vows.

WEDDING ALBUM SPREAD - WAITING FOR THE BRIDE

With plenty of space in this wedding album to focus on the ceremony, I could dedicate a whole double page spread to the moments just before the bride arrives. The photo featuring the scene of the outdoor ceremony with the house in the background was the ideal choice to fill the page and create a backdrop. The rest of the photos portray the details of the moments leading up to the bride’s arrival…she gets ready indoors, whereas the groom awaits nervously outside.

WEDDING ALBUM SPREAD - THE VOWS

A simple layout that really focuses on the bride and groom. One feature photo that really fills the page. It’s a beautiful photo that is perfectly suited to being the focus of the page. Not only does it contain the couple in the foreground but also captures the guests watching and the landscape of the venue and outdoor ceremony. The smaller photos on the left tell the story of the readings and vows they shared.

WEDDING ALBUM SPREAD - THE NEW MR & MRS

This album spread celebrates the end of the ceremony and the sheer joy on the newlywed’s faces! I chose three photos of varying angles and distances so they complemented each other alongside three smaller photos of the C&S enjoying a spot of laughter whilst signing the register.

WEDDING ALBUM SPREAD - POSED SHOTS

Two beautiful images which deserve a full page each with no added distractions!

WEDDING ALBUM SPREAD - FAMILY PHOTOS

The simple yet effective Fresh style was perfect for this collection of posed group photos. Creating different sized photos adds that bit of interest and creativity into the spread whilst also ensuring the larger group shot doesn’t get lost amongst the others (and the people aren’t then too small!)

WEDDING ALBUM SPREAD - THE SPEECHES

Another spread where the bookend full page images were utilised. The photos both help to set the scene – particularly the detail images of the place setting and chair decorations – and capture the emotions of the speeches. Lots of fun and laughter!

WEDDING ALBUM SPREAD - CUTTING THE CAKE

Did someone say cake?! For this spread I kept to a simple three photos…the close up of the cake is the perfect background image alongside two photos. Both are similar but I love the different emotions on their faces as they cut into the cake. The white space edging frames the photos and draws your eye to them.
