Yes, me too! Let me introduce myself…I’m Gill, photo album designer and owner of White Peacock.

It all began with planning my own wedding back in 2009/10. I realised that wedding albums had massively evolved from their bulky old fashioned roots and the digital design format provided the potential to be really creative with how the visual story of a couple’s big day is told. The first wedding album I designed was my own. It was a real labour of love ( I won’t tell you just how long I spent faffing on it!) but it really ignited my passion for wedding album design and the importance of investing in a quality wedding album.

If you share that passion but don’t have either the time, motivation or design capabilities to do it yourself, I’d love to work with you! Whether you’re wanting to create your own wedding album ( or a photo album for any occasion!) or a photographer looking to outsource your album design, I can help you create something beautiful and unique.

how I'll work with you

Every wedding is as individual as the couple, and I aim to incorporate that uniqueness into the design of each album. It’s why you won’t find me using ready made layout templates! I make sure the process is as easy as possible and you can choose to have as much or as little involvement as you like throughout. Some clients have already mapped out the order in which their wedding photos should appear, others who have literally chucked me over 700 photos to choose from and left me to it! Either way, I’ll never just assume you’re happy with a design – I’ll send you some samples before we go ahead and you’ll have full approval on final designs.

a little bit about me

Art and Design was a big part of my education right through to my BA (hons) degree in Creative Imaging at Huddersfield University. As a result, I gained a keen eye for which images and layouts work best together and which design elements enhance the images without overpowering them.
I’m a northerner living in Essex. When I’m not busy designing beautiful wedding albums, you’ll find me pounding the streets with a bit of Oasis or Kasabian (anything Indie really!) blasting out of my ipod. I’m a mum of two young boys so running is my ‘me time’. I’ve competed in several half marathons and ran the London Marathon in 2019 ( for my 40th no less!). More recently, I’ve also taken up Olympic Weightlifting which is very different! I do actually get to sit down occasionally for a cup of tea and a slice of cake or a chilled glass of dry white wine.
