Moments in Time photo books

I’ve created each Moments in Time collection around the types of projects I most commonly design, including Year of Moments, Special Moments, Lifetime of Moments, Pro Photo Shoot Albums and Wanderlust Moments.

Each package has been carefully put together with the page count, size and style of book that I believe best suits that particular type of project, although every option can be adapted to suit your individual requirements. If you’re unsure which collection is right for you, I’d be happy to talk you through the options and recommend the one I think will best suit your photos, your project and your budget.

Most Moments in Time collections are available in a choice of two photo book styles: a contemporary lay-flat photo book or a more traditional coffee table book. Both are available in a range of sizes and cover options, and I’ll be happy to explain the differences and recommend the one that best suits your photos and how you’d like to enjoy your finished book.

I work with a wide range of professional album and photo book suppliers, so if there’s a particular style, finish or format you have in mind that isn’t shown on my website, I can usually source a more suitable option and tailor it to your project.

Absolutely! I’ve created many beautiful photo books using photos taken entirely on a phone. Modern smartphones are capable of producing good quality images.

However, it’s worth remembering that a photo which looks great on a phone or computer screen won’t always produce the same result in print. Image quality, sharpness and detail become much more noticeable once a photo is enlarged and printed. If you’re unsure whether your photos are suitable, I’ll be happy to check them before we begin. I’ll also let you know if I come across any individual images during the design process that aren’t suitable for printing, so we can discuss the best option.

Absolutely. Whether your photos were taken on different devices, span many years or include professionally scanned photographs, they can all be brought together into one beautifully designed photo book.

As part of the design process, I’ll carefully curate your collection and make subtle adjustments to colour, tone and other minor imperfections where appropriate to help create a consistent look and feel throughout your photo book.

If I come across any individual photos that aren’t suitable for printing or that may affect the overall quality of the finished book, I’ll discuss the options with you before going ahead.

That’s absolutely fine. If your photos are only available as printed copies, they’ll need to be professionally scanned and converted into a digital format before I can use them in your photo book.
While I don’t offer a photo scanning service myself, there are many companies throughout the UK that specialise in digitising printed photographs. If you’re unsure where to start, I’ll be happy to help source a company to suit your needs.

Not at all. I’ll take care of organising and curating your photos as part of the design process, so there’s no need to spend hours sorting through them beforehand.

The only thing I may ask for is a little guidance on how you’d like your photo book to flow. For example, a Year of Moments photo book works best if your photos are grouped into months or arranged in date order, while other projects may benefit from a simple list of key events, locations or chapters you’d like to include. If you’re unsure, don’t worry. We’ll discuss everything before I begin designing, and I’ll help you decide on the best way to tell your story.

That really depends on the type of photo book you’re creating and the package you’ve chosen. I’ll always advise how many photos will work best before you send them over.

If you already know exactly which photos you’d like to include, you can simply send those. Alternatively, if you’d prefer me to help with the selection, you’re welcome to send a larger collection for me to work from. If there are any particular favourites or must-have photos, just let me know and I’ll make sure they’re included wherever possible.

While there’s no need to narrow everything down yourself, I do ask that you avoid sending thousands of photos, as a carefully selected collection allows me to curate your story more effectively.

Yes you can. Every album and photo book is individually designed from scratch rather than created using a template, so you’re not limited to just photographs. Depending on your project, I can also incorporate written memories, scanned keepsakes and other meaningful details.

That’s entirely up to you. Whether you’d like a few short captions or pages filled with memories and stories, the design can be adapted to include as much or as little text as you’d like.

Yes, I can carry out some basic editing and retouching to improve the appearance of older photographs, such as colour correction, minor blemishes and other small imperfections.

If your photos require more extensive work, I’d recommend using a company that specialises in photo restoration before they’re included in your photo book. If you’re unsure where to start, I’ll be happy to help you source a suitable company.
