Wanderlust Moments
Custom Travel Photo Books
You made the memories. You captured the memories. Now let's preserve them properly.
Your trip was full of amazing moments and you made sure you captured them all. But once you’re back to the daily grind, finding the time to organise all those photos and create a beautiful photo book that does them justice isn’t easy and with hundreds of photos, knowing where to even start can feel overwhelming.
The good news is, you don’t have to do it yourself.
Wanderlust Moments is a custom travel photo book collection featuring a full done-for-you design and print service. Send your photos and I’ll take care of the rest, carefully curating and designing your photo book before it is professionally printed.
You receive a beautifully presented memoir of your travels that brings together the experiences, details and moments, keeping those memories alive for years to come.
Your trip is over but the amazing memories are still fresh
Once you’re home, you end up scrolling through your photos and picking out the highlights to share on Instagram.
But life moves on pretty quickly; new photos take their place and all those moments you captured gradually disappear into your camera roll amongst hundreds of others. Sound familiar?
A beautifully crafted and professionally printed travel book preserves those memories long after you’ve returned. It’s not just a printed collection of your photos, it’s a visual journal where your photos work together to tell the story of your travels in a way that viewing each photo individually just can’t.
This is where I take it off your hands...
I’m Gill, a UK based photo album designer with an expertise in creating custom travel photo books for busy people who don’t have the time to do it themselves or are looking for a more high-end finish than the standard consumer options.
Sorting through and choosing from hundreds of your travel photos can be a pretty daunting task to start with. Then trying to design the layouts, navigating templates and knowing which company to print them with, it’s easy to see why so many travel photos never go further than a phone gallery or hard drive.
My job is to do just that.
Whether you send me your chosen selection, or you prefer me to select the best images to tell the story of your trip, I’ll carefully curate a layout where every page recreates the feeling of being back there, so you can revisit the memories and the atmosphere behind the photos.
the wanderlust moments photo book collection
Every photo book in the collection is professionally printed and bound through specialist labs using high-quality materials, ensuring that the exterior feels every bit as exceptional as the layouts inside.
From sleek, modern, photo-led books or elegant material covers to a journal-style keepsake that incorporates written excerpts and design-led elements, there’s an option that will suit your trip and your photos.
Every layout is built on a blank canvas. I don’t use templates so the design can be tailored to your photos and can incorporate as much or as little text as you’d like. Each cover can also be completely personalised whether that’s a full image-wrap design, or bespoke printing/engraving onto the material.
Whilst all three options can include text elements, the Signature Lay-flat photo book and the Deluxe Coffee Table book are generally the better choice if you’d like to focus primarily on your photos. The Travel Journal is designed to incorporate more written content and storytelling.

FAQs
Here you will find the answers to the most frequently asked questions about the custom travel photo book packages and the process. If you don’t find the answer you’re looking for here, please feel free to get in touch and I’ll be happy to answer any queries you have.
That depends on both your personal style preferences and how you’d like your travel memories showcased.
The Signature Lay-flat Photo Book is ideal if you prefer a bolder design and is great for displaying lots of scenic images that can fill the page. The Deluxe Coffee Table Book is perfect if you like a more classic, understated and elegant look with a material cover. If you have a larger collection of photos and/or want to include written memories, anecdotes and other storytelling elements alongside then the Travel Journal is the best option.
If you’re unsure which photo book is right for you, I’d be happy to recommend the most suitable option based on your trip, your photos and what you’d like the finished book to look like.
Yes, absolutely. You can either choose the photos yourself or send me your full collection and I’ll help curate the final selection.
Many clients prefer to hand everything over and let me narrow down the strongest images, but if there are any favourite photos or “must-have” moments you’d like included, simply let me know and I’ll make sure they’re incorporated into the design.
You’ll also have the opportunity to review the first draft and request any changes. Often it’s much easier to decide which photos work best once you can see them together within the layouts.
The pages and suggested number of photos included in the packages are intended as a starting point rather than a set limit. All of the photo books can be expanded with additional pages if you’d like to include more photos, and I can advise on the best option based on the size of your collection.
As a general guide, I typically recommend around 4-6 photos per double-page spread, although this can vary depending on the style of images and the look you’re hoping to achieve.
If you have a particularly large collection, I can also help narrow down the selection. Equally, if you have fewer photos, the number pages can also be reduced to suit your needs. If you have a smaller number of photos, I may also recommend the Signature Lay-flat Photo Book, as the thicker lay-flat pages give the book more presence even with fewer pages.
Yes, all of my photo books are fully designed on a blank canvas, so you can include written memories, dates, locations, maps, scanned tickets and other travel memorabilia alongside your photographs.
Whilst these elements can be incorporated into any of the photo books, the Travel Journal is particularly well suited to this style of storytelling and is ideal if you’d like to include more written content throughout the book.
I can work with photographs from phones, cameras and other digital devices, and most common file formats are suitable. If you’re unsure whether your photos will work, feel free to get in touch and I’d be happy to advise.
For the best results, I recommend using the highest resolution versions of your images wherever possible. Whilst I can carry out basic cropping, colour correction and image enhancement, photo books can only be as good as the images supplied, so heavily blurred, pixelated or very low-resolution photographs are generally best avoided.
If you have a mixture of image formats or aren’t sure how to access the original files, I’m more than happy to help guide you through the process.
Yes, absolutely. Multi-destination trips work particularly well in a photo book and can be organised into clear sections for each location using destination headers, maps, dates or other design elements.
If your trip includes a large number of photos, you can add extra pages to ensure you cover each destination properly. The Deluxe Coffee Table Book also offers optional vellum page inserts, which can be used to create elegant dividers between locations or stages of your journey.
Every photo book is designed from scratch, so the layout and structure can be tailored to suit the different stages of your trip, whether that’s a city and beach combination, a fly-drive holiday with several stops, or a longer itinerary featuring multiple locations.
No, you certainly don’t need to spend hours putting everything into an exact order. Part of my role is to sort through your photos and curate them into a cohesive story.
However, particularly if your trip included multiple destinations, or you want things in a specific order, it’s always helpful if you can provide some guidance on how you want things structured. That could literally be just grouping photos into folders, labelling them in order or providing a few notes with dates and locations etc
But all this is something we can discuss once we commence your photo book project and I will guide you through the process as we go along.
The timescale can vary depending on the size and complexity of your project, as well as how quickly feedback and design approvals are returned.
As a general guide, most travel photo books are completed within 4-8 weeks from the start of the design process. This includes photo curation, design, amendments and printing. The Signature Lay-flat Photo Book will often sit towards the shorter end of this timescale, whilst the Travel Journal is typically towards the longer end due to the additional pages and storytelling elements often included.
If you’re working towards a particular date or would like your photo book for a specific occasion, just let me know and I’ll be happy to advise on timescales before you book.
