the Wedding Collection
Because your wedding deserves more than just an ordinary wedding album
You’ve spent months planning every detail of your wedding – the style, the colours, the ambience – with intention behind every decision. So your wedding album should fit cohesively with your wedding, not treated like an afterthought or simply a printed version of your online photo gallery.
The Wedding Collection is a carefully curated range of luxury wedding albums and sleek editorial-style wedding photo books combined with professional bespoke layout design. You can personalise every element of your album, so what you receive doesn’t just display your wedding photos, it creates a visual story that brings your whole wedding back to life.
The final chapter of your wedding story; told the way it deserves to be.
The wedding album you’ve been looking for, you just didn’t know it existed.
Your wedding photos are sitting in an online gallery, waiting. You know you want more than just a standard wedding album – something that perfectly reflects the style, and ambience of your day – but nothing you’ve seen feels quite right.
Your photographer might offer albums, but the options feel restrictive; limited sizes, cover choices and template-based layouts that just don’t feel personal or creative enough.
Then there’s the DIY route. But the thought of creating it yourself is just too overwhelming and that’s without considering that the best wedding albums crafted by professional print labs aren’t available directly to couples so you’d be compromising on quality.
That’s the gap the White Peacock wedding collection was created to fill
White Peacock is a UK based bespoke wedding album design service and I’m Gill, founder and professional wedding album designer. I handle the whole wedding album process – from the curation and creative layout design, through to premium quality printing and manufacture. So you don’t have to do any of it yourself.
Not all wedding albums are created equally. So what makes a White Peacock album different?
A visual story that’s uniquely yours
Your album or storybook starts with a blank canvas – I don’t use templates or pre-set designs – and everything is built around your photos and your story. Whether that’s told purely through images or woven together with written details, your album will feel completely one of a kind.
Premium Quality that’s crafted to last
Your album or storybook is produced via professional print labs using archival quality paper (no fading or yellowing over time) and premium materials with handcrafted finishing throughout. So your photos look as vibrant and true to life as the day they were taken, beautifully preserving your memories for generations to come.
Fully customised to suit your style
Every element of your album or storybook is customisable. The cover style, colour and design can all be tailored to match the aesthetic, ambience and intention of your wedding day.
What's in the Wedding Collection
Two distinctive ways to preserve your wedding story
Within the wedding collection you’ll find two main styles of custom wedding album; the classic, tactile luxury of a flush-mount wedding Album, or the contemporary feel of the magazine-style Wedding Storybook.
Wedding albums
A flush-mount Wedding Album is the classic choice, where your photos form the focal point throughout.
Your layouts are designed around your images so the story of your wedding unfolds naturally from one page to the next. And because every element is customisable – from the cover material right down to what’s printed on the front – what you end up with feels completely and uniquely yours.
Wedding Storybooks
The Wedding Storybook is the more contemporary choice with the feel of a high-end coffee table book and the look of a beautifully designed glossy magazine.
It brings together your photos and the written details you never want to forget – your vows, your readings, song lyrics and more. Together they capture not just how your day looked, but how it felt, in a way that’s as individual as your day itself.
FAQs
Here you will find the answers to the most frequently asked questions about the wedding album and storybook packages and the process. If you don’t find the answer you’re looking for here, please feel free to get in touch and I’ll be happy to answer any queries you have.
It really depends on how you intend to use your album and what you want to include. Wedding Albums are premium and heavyweight. They are ideal if you’re looking for a luxurious heirloom to treasure for years to come. They also feature predominantly photographs with a strong focus on the visuals.
Wedding Storybooks are a more sleek and contemporary alternative. They’re easier to handle and browse through so are perfect for displaying on a coffee table. They feature a more editorial style layout with a mix of photos and written details of your wedding, such as vows, speeches, song lyrics and even lay-flats of your stationery. They’re ideal the story of your day, preserving not only your photographs but also the personal details and memories that made it unique.
That’s absolutely fine, I’m more than happy to help you choose. We can discuss your thoughts and ideas over a phone call, email or Zoom and I can recommend which style of album or storybook I think will best suit you and your wedding.
Which album size or orientation you choose will depend your budget, how you intend to use your album and the resolution of your wedding photos.
All sizes I offer are carefully chosen to showcase your photos beautifully while catering for different budgets, styles of wedding and how you’d like to display, store and enjoy your album.. I’m more than happy to help guide you if you are unsure.
Yes! All albums offer replica and downsize copies of your main album which feature the same cover, layout and overall style. If you wanted extra copies with slightly different photos then this would incur an additional cost. Please let me know when you are ordering your album and I will quote for this.
The number of pages you will need depends on your budget, the number of photos you wish to include and the style/structure of your wedding. The majority of wedding albums I create include somewhere between 20-30 double page spreads (40-60 pages). However, all wedding albums start from 15 double page spreads and can be expanded to 45 double page spreads (or 60 spreads with thinner pages)
Wedding Storybooks typically include more pages to allow space for both your photographs and the written details. The Storybook package includes 100 pages (50 spreads) as standard, although this can be reduced or increased depending on what you want to include.
The final page count often evolves as the design comes together, so we can easily add or remove pages to achieve the best balance and flow.
There is no set requirement and it really depends on the photos you have, what your wedding looked like and how you want your layouts to look.
As a rough guide, the majority of wedding albums contain somewhere between 110 – 180 photos. For most weddings, this is plenty to tell the story of your wedding day without too much repetition or missing out key moments. If you would like a guide to choosing the photos from your wedding album, have a read of my blog post.
No, you don’t need to organise them, I can do that once I receive your photos. Unless you specifically want something different, I generally design the layouts in a chronological order of how the day evolved. If your day worked a little differently to most, or there is a specific order you would like, you can always organise the photos into folders, or send over any special instructions.
Yes I certainly can! Some couples prefer to choose the exact photos they want to include and others prefer to send me their entire gallery so I can choose for them. I always encourage you to mark any particular favourites.
You would then have the chance to swap out any photos once you’ve seen the first draft of your album or storybook – it’s always easier to decide once you’ve seen the photos laid out on a page together.
Generally, I wouldn’t recommend mixing guest photos with your professional wedding photographs. While phone photos can look great when viewed digitally, differences in quality often become much more noticeable when they’re printed alongside professional images.
If there are guest photos you’d really like to include, my advice would be to either to create a separate photo book for your guest and amateur photos or group them together in a dedicated section within your album.
As much or as little as you like! It’s very much a collaboration where I do all the hard work. Before we start, we’ll discuss your preferred design style and I’ll always recommend what I think will work with your photos and the overall style of your album.
Absolutely! Both the wedding album and wedding storybook packages include unlimited design amends so you can make changes to the layout or photo selection as many times as you need. Nothing goes to print until you’re completely happy with the final design.
For Wedding Albums, I generally recommend using text sparingly so the focus remains on your photos. Short quotes, vows, readings or song lyrics can all work beautifully when incorporated into the design. Every album also begins with an introductory spread featuring your names, wedding date and venue, although this can be personalised to suit your preferences.
If you’d like to include more written details throughout your book, I’d recommend choosing the Wedding Storybook, which is specifically designed to accommodate a greater balance of text and photos.
You can order your wedding album as soon as you’ve received your photographs from your photographer. There’s no need to pre-order before your wedding, although I’m always happy to discuss your options or answer any questions beforehand if you’d like to plan ahead.
Absolutely! I’ve created wedding albums for many couples who didn’t get around to ordering one straight after their wedding. For some it was a couple of years later, while others came to me over a decade afterwards, and one couple even celebrated their 25th anniversary with a bespoke wedding album.
While you can order your wedding album whenever you like, I’d always recommend doing it sooner rather than later. It’s surprisingly easy for it to slip further down the to-do list, leaving your wedding photos sitting in an online gallery instead of being transformed into a beautiful, tangible visual story of your wedding day.
