Frequently Asked Questions

Below you’ll find answers to the questions I’m most commonly asked about creating your bespoke wedding album or photo book. They cover everything from choosing the right album or photo book and sending your photos to the design process, payment and delivery.

If you’re looking for information about a specific collection, you’ll also find dedicated FAQs on the Wedding Collection, Moments in Time and Wanderlust Moments pages.

Getting started

If you’re unsure which album or photo book would work best for your project, I’ll be happy to help. We’ll discuss what you’d like to create, and I’ll recommend the option that I think will best suit your photos, your style and your budget.

I offer a range of premium flush-mount albums, lay-flat photo books and traditionally bound coffee table books in a variety of cover materials, sizes and styles.

My collections have been carefully put together to offer what I believe is the most suitable option for each type of project. However, you’re not limited to those choices. If you have something different in mind, you’re welcome to choose any style of album or photo book, and I can also source other options if there’s a particular product you’re looking for.

Yes. Gift vouchers are available in a range of values, or you can purchase one to cover the cost of a specific album or photo book package. They’re a great solution if you’d like to give someone a bespoke photo book but don’t have access to their photos, or if you’d like the recipient to be involved in creating their own album or photo book. They also make a unique wedding gift or can be added to a couple’s wedding gift list.

Your photos

If your photos are already stored online, such as in an online gallery, Google Drive, Dropbox or iCloud, you can simply send me the link. Otherwise, I recommend using WeTransfer to upload and send your photos quickly and securely. If you’re unsure of the best way to send your photos, just get in touch and I’ll happily talk you through it.

Whether you’re using professional wedding photos or a collection of images taken on your phone, the higher the quality, the better the finished result will be. If you’re unsure whether your photos are suitable for printing, I’ll be happy to check them before we go ahead with your album or photo book project and let you know if there are any potential issues.

Once your album or photo book has been printed and delivered, I’ll keep your photos securely stored for a couple of months, just in case you’d like to order an additional copy. After that, they’ll be permanently deleted from my system.

Ordering & Design

It really does depend on the individual project but as I guide I advise to allow around 6-8 weeks from receiving your photos to delivery of your finished album or photo book. This includes the design stage, any amendments and production.

If you have a specific deadline, please let me know before ordering. Some of the photo books within my Moments in Time Collection can be produced more quickly.

Once you’ve placed your order, you can send me your photos along with any written details you’d like to include. I’ll carefully organise and curate your collection before creating a couple of sample spreads for you to review. Once you’re happy with the overall style, I’ll complete the first draft and we’ll work together to refine the design until it’s ready to go to print.
For a more detailed overview of each stage, have a read of the full design process.

All of my albums and photo books are professionally printed by specialist print labs that are renowned for their exceptional craftsmanship and quality. I’ve carefully selected each supplier based on the products they create, ensuring every album and photo book is made using premium materials, archival-quality paper and the highest printing and binding standards for a beautiful finish that’s built to last.

Payment

Once you’re ready to go ahead, I’ll send you an invoice with a secure online payment link. A 50% deposit is required before work begins, with the remaining balance due once you’ve approved the final design and it’s ready to go to print

Yes. A 50% deposit is required before work begins to cover the design stage of your project. The remaining balance can then be paid in instalments that suit you, with the final balance due before your album or photo book is sent to print.

Please bear in mind that production can’t begin until the final balance has been paid, so spreading the cost over a longer period will also extend the overall timescale of your project.

If you decide not to go ahead before any design work has begun, you’ll receive a full refund of your deposit. Once work on your design has started, the deposit becomes non-refundable as it covers the time already spent creating your album or photo book. Depending on how much work has been completed, I may be able to offer a partial refund, but this will be assessed on an individual basis.

Once you’ve approved the final design and your album or photo book has been ordered for production, the order can no longer be cancelled due to the personalised nature of the product.

As every album and photo book is individually designed and made to order, refunds aren’t available once production has begun.
If your finished album or photo book arrives damaged or there is a manufacturing fault, I’ll arrange a replacement with the print lab as quickly as possible.

Delivery

Yes. I work with clients throughout the UK, and the entire process can be completed remotely via email, phone or Zoom. Once your album or photo book is complete, I’ll arrange delivery directly to your door.

Yes I do work with clients living overseas and can ship books and albums internationally. Please note that any customs duties or import taxes charged by your country are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in my shipping charges.
