Georgina & Dominic's Wedding Album

Georgina and Dominic opted for a Stylish/Flaunty album design to showcase the story of their beautiful traditional English summer wedding. They chose a black linen cover with simply their wedding monogram featured in white UV print for an elegant and classic finish.

Here’s some of my favourite album spreads:

With it’s perfect focus simply on Georgina & Dominic and featuring the venue in the background, this image was the perfect showcase to start the album with. The font and grey colour is simple and classic complementing the style of both the image and the wedding overall and to carry on from the cover, I’ve included the couple’s wedding monogram.

Any bride will tell you how important that moment is when she finally gets to put on her dress! With 28 spreads to play with, I was able to dedicate a whole double page spread to this one moment which really portrayed the raw emotion, not only when Georgina sees herself in the mirror but when her parents enter the room. The photographer captured a stunning back view of the beautiful dress which deserved to be the featured image on the page…..supported by varying views of the dress and accessories and of course the proud parents.

Compared to the bride’s pre-wedding moments, the groom’s are a little more lighthearted and relaxed hanging out with his groomsmen. With a fair amount of detail in the background and several men in the images, I kept it simple and stuck to featuring just two photos on this spread.

The Flaunty design style is based on a large key image on a spread with smaller, supporting images. This spread focuses on the end of the ceremony and  I’ve laid out the visual story flowing left to right with the main image setting the overall scene with the newlyweds first exiting the church and celebrating with a kiss followed by their bridal party. Supported on the right by the obligational confetti shot and the couple leaving in the car.

Every wedding album needs a few spreads dedicated to the Bride and Groom when they’re celebrating just being together away from the craziness of the wedding! In this spread I created a nice clean flow using a larger landscape image and two smaller supporting portrait images that capture just a few moments of tranquility.

The beauty of a bespoke design is that I can incorporate pretty much anything! Vows and readings are popular and in this case, Georgina & Dominic wanted to include part of Dominic’s speech directed towards his new wife. I included several key moments from his speech to set the scene and to complement the text, used a shot that focused on him talking to his wife. Changing the image to black and white created a more subtle image which, in turn emphasised the focus on the text.

There was so much going on at this wedding reception, it looks like great fun! Which I’ve really tried to visualise in this spread using some fantastic moments the photographer captured and off course focusing on the stars of the show….the newlyweds!
