Kieron and Rebecca's Wedding Album
Album: 12x12inch Bellissimo Perfetto with Acrylic photo cover
Location: Santorini, Greece
Photographer: Kosta Savva Photography
I just love working with destination weddings as the photos are always stunning and this wedding album design is no exception, set on the beautiful Greek Island of Santorini.
The album is based on our Flaunty design style in which the images fill the spreads, really making the most of the space. Using the Flaunty style for this album meant that I could really make the most of the stunning colourful landscape shots by filling the pages with the photographs.
It was really hard to narrow down my favourite spreads but here are my top three from this wedding album:
The Ceremony
The backdrop to the wedding was so stunning, that it was natural for the overhead shot of the ceremony to take centrepiece on the spread. The photo showed the ceremony and it’s location in all it’s glory, including the happy couple, the wedding party and all the guests. The smaller detail shots worked well set around the main image, particularly the shots of the bridesmaids and flower girl, as they captured the smaller moments and more detailed shots from the ceremony which helped to tell the story of the most important moments of the wedding.
The Wedding Party and Kiss!
One of the key features of the Flaunty style is key images that fill the page. I decided that these two images capturing just one moment worked best showcased on their own spread without any other photos to distract them. The image showing the whole wedding party celebrating the Bride and Groom’s first kiss fitted well onto the full page spread leaving just a fading gradient to white on the right hand side where the second image which focused on the bride and groom complemented the main image and filled the space well. The thin white border and frame cause the smaller image to “pop’ slightly from the background photo so they don’t blend together.
The Bride and Groom
I just love the backdrop for these bride and groom shots. The contrasting muted wall colour and the bright blue door and window shutters work well to provide interest but no too much to distract from the couple. I chose the main image to focus on as it worked well across the double page spread and was slightly different from the other two images as it including the door; the couple being focused more in the middle of the image. I experimented with using the main image in the middle of the spread and one smaller image either side but decided that these two images filled the space nicely to the left hand side and complemented each other and the main image by being closer together.
