Miranda & Guy's Wedding Album
Miranda and Guy decided on a landscape album with an elegant leather cover in Slate Grey and beautiful Fine Art paper interior. I designed the wedding album spreads in a mix of my stylish and Flaunty styles which worked perfectly with the photos.
Album: 14×10 inch Bellissimo Album with Slate Grey Leather Cover and Fine Art Paper
Location: Australia
No. of Spreads: 23
Here’s some of my favourite album spreads:
The two beautifully posed images of Miranda worked great in full page bleed, creating focus on the bride. The background was subtle and not too overbearing allowing the smaller supporting images of the bridal party to be placed on top in the foreground.
These photos all work great together to form a scene setting spread – the church in the background supported by various shots of the groom waiting in anticipation and the all important arrival of the bridal party followed by the bride!
When using full bleed images, it’s important not to overwhelm the page sometimes, especially with images such as this where there is lots of detail (church photos in particular tend to fall into this category!) Just the one main photo with a couple of smaller images in a left to right flow.
There’s lots going on in this spread which conveys the moments after the ceremony. I chose a uniform layout with the natural shots of the couple greeting their guests on the left and some posed shots on the right. Straddled by a background image of the London Bus in the middle!
What a beautiful setting for these shots of the newlyweds! There were several similar close up images of Miranda and Guy which worked well flowing across the spread together and the scenic photo taken from behind was the perfect backdrop.
This is one of a few spreads where my Flaunty style came into play, such beautiful family photos in such a picturesque setting deserved to be showcased!
The evening reception is just one big party and there was so much fun going on here that I wanted to capture that in one spread. By varying the images between the large full page image and the smaller snapshots, it created that feeling of lots of action and the fireworks worked perfectly as a background.
