Rosalind & Daniel's Wedding Album
This month’s featured bespoke wedding album is a beautiful material cover album with a natural feel and my Stylish style album design. Rosalind & Daniel wanted their wedding album to complement their traditional country house barn and marquee wedding venue. So the Dreambooks Album in Natural Buckram was a perfect fit – particularly as a lot of their favours and reception decor featured elements of Hessian. The clamshell box in natural oak wood with matching Buckram cover finished the presentation off nicely. They chose a 12×12 inch square format – which is great to work with as the open landscape format is very versatile for designing the layouts! UV printing on the cover in a modern script font (to match the internal wording) added a nice contemporary touch.

The wedding album design mostly featured my Stylish style featuring blended key background images alongside foreground images and surrounding white space. Here’s some of my favourite album spreads:
Every album needs a spread featuring the Bride all prepped and ready to go! This was a very simple and elegant layout where the images could do the talking. Two shots of the bride from the back and the front to really showcase the details of her dress – supported by a shot of the bridesmaids and the the bouquet.
I just love all the happy faces in these ceremony arrival photos! I suggest choosing a few images that tell the overall story – it’s easy to get carried away with shots of the aisle from various angles but these photos work together to capture the various moments in the lead up. The photo of Rosalind and her Dad on the bridge was a perfect full page focus image to set the overall tone of the spread.
Such a simple and elegant album spread! The moment the happy couple emerge from the venue as husband and wife! The large full spread photo looked stunning in black and white and was a perfect combination alongside the smaller colour close up image.
There are always lots of posed shots of the newlyweds in every wedding photography collection and it’s so tempting to want to include them all as they all look amazing! However, this spread is a great example of choosing them carefully. Find shots with different poses, zoom and angles or mix up more natural shots with posed statue style. With a few photos on this spread, I made sure they didn’t all blend into each other. One key full page posed image surrounded by a mix of black and white and close ups with plenty of white space to really frame the shots!
I do love a black and white photo! This is a really simple but very effective layout and the use of black and white creates real focus purely on the bride and groom. The photos really pop against the white background.
There is always so much effort goes into the little details of a wedding, it’s such a good idea to include some of these in your wedding album so you can look back and remember those elements you agonised over for so long! Sometimes I’ll dedicate a spread just to the details but they also go well alongside photos like this of Rosalind & Daniel entering the room to everyone’s applause.
Did someone say cake? Oh I love cake! The muted background of the marquee meant that the beautiful colours of the cake really stood out and even more so with this simple flowing layout and again, lots of white space in the background. Focus on the alrger photos of Rosalind & Daniel cutting the cake with some smaller detail shots of the magnificent cake itself.
