Damien & Rebekah's Wedding Album

There was a simple but strong brief for this bespoke wedding album…..elegant, classic and luxurious! Their wedding had taken place several years ago but D&R just hadn’t gotten around to creating their wedding album – it’s never too late though! The wedding took place in the stunning setting of Carcassonne, France with some beautiful backdrops and scenery. They chose the 16×12 inch Bellissimo Album in Antique White Genuine Leather to maximise the impact of their photos. D&R’s upgrade to Fine Art paper really helped create the elegant and luxury wedding album feeling they were looking for. The ‘fresh’ style photo layout looked great with the subtle embossing on the cover, which finished off the clean white crisp look perfectly.

Some of my favourite spreads from the album:

THE INTRO SPREAD

What better introduction to a beautiful elegant album than a black and white photo and a stunning natural shot of the happy couple! I used a beautiful classic script font for the text with lots of white space to highlight the images and text.

GETTING READY

A stunning mix of shots helps to capture the bride’s preparation. Love the dress against the window-pane and what a backdrop for the image of her shoes! The mix of black and white and colour images also worked really well.

GROOM PREP

The groom looks like he’s having real fun in his wedding prep! So I used a single large photo to highlight this, complemented by several further smaller images. Using black and white helped to focus the attention to the emotions in the images. Again lots of white space to frame the photos.

THE BRIDESMAIDS

The photographer had captured individual images of each of the bridesmaids which worked really well for a focused spread. The film strip layout was perfect for this so each bridesmaid had their own equal weighting on the page.

WE'RE MARRIED!

This spread focuses purely on the moment the newlyweds emerge and are greeted with confetti! I kept it quite simple  – just two images of the bride and groom complemented by some scene setting photos.

YOU AND ME

These two photos have really captured the natural chemistry between the newlyweds. To ensure the emotion in these photos was showcased as much as possible, I placed just one image on each page with equal weighting to keep them from getting lost.

FAMILY

Group photos don’t have to be boring, and just look at the backdrops to these photos! I really made the most of the space on this spread to ensure we really made the most of that scenery.

HAVING FUN

There were several photos of D&R at this location on the local streets. The different poses and close up shots work well together in this film strip layout.

EVENING WALK

More beautiful scenic shots as D&R took a stroll down the cobbled streets of the local town. I really made the most of the space yet keeping to a uniform layout. The use of black and white with just one colour image, creates a nice separation to the strip and ensures that colour really pops!
